About the antenna connections for PLANET WLAN Products
There are two types of antenna connectors used on PLANET WLAN products, RP-SMA and N-Type. And all external antennas provides by PLANET are N-Type connector. Therefore, the cables are necessary when connecting the AP and The antenna.
For the products with RP-SMA connector, such as TWAP4000, the installation needs a cable to convert SMA connector to N-Type connector. There are three optional cables for such usage: TWLSMA06, TWLSMA6, and TWLSMA06 plus TWLN-10. Thus, the maximum distance between AP and antenna can up to 10.6 meters.
Regarding the products with N-Type connector, such as outdoor WLAN series, usually PLANET will bundle a 30 cm N-Type to N-Type cable is standard product package for antenna connection. We also provide a 60 cm cable, TWLN06, to facilitate users when installing in certain conditions.
